Oriental Mood is now entering a new phase of its life. Since 1992 it has been music with roots in Arabian/Turkish music - now they found their own way. Since the last project “Oriental Cut”, Oriental Mood now produced their CD project (supported by KODA in DK) -called “Muktalef” (different). The CD was released in dec 2007, and got a Danish Music Award for best world track 2008 The members: Lars Bo Kujahn started as a Jazz Fusion drummer, but soon took interest in Balkan and Middle Eastern music. He lived for many years with one leg in Copenhagen, the other in Cairo, where he learned Arabian drumming and how to play the Arabian harp, the Qanoon. Nils Raae is the keyboard player. He is a great musician with experience in World Fusion. He also plays the chromatic mouthharp with a deep soul. Simon Dyhr plays the bass. Trained at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Simon has a very broad foundation as a bass player, specialised in Jazz and Funk, but also flirting with World Music. Rasmus Glendorf plays the drums. Rasmus is experienced in all styles of drumming, and educated at RMC in Copenhagen. He also plays in Salsa Loca. Bilal Irshed is playing the arabian Oud. Bilal is from Palestine and educated at at the conservatory for arab music in Jerusalem. He is the new member of Oriental Mood - and contribute with great skills in the art of playing Oud. www.bilalirshed.com Fatma Zidan vocal : is a pop star in the making from Cairo, Egypt. Guests: Paulo Vilegas is a great percussionist and drummer from Chile. Paulo plays the drums and percussion with a great dynamic and energy Claus Mathiesen : Clarinet - An old member of Oriental Mood is time time playing with his old band - like the Tunis Tour 2007. Hadji Tekbilek : is a great neyfluteplayer from Turkey - but living in Stockholm. Hadji has been on and of as guest since 1993...
